Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Chief Accountant / Accounting Manager who will lead our accounting team and serve as the backbone of our finance function. This role is crucial in ensuring accounting accuracy, building scalable systems, and supporting our transition to a Singapore holding structure with IFRS consolidation ahead of upcoming fundraising rounds.
The right candidate combines execution excellence with strategic curiosity — detail-oriented enough to run clean books today, but ambitious enough to grow into a Group Controller role tomorrow.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations: AR/AP, payroll, taxes, and general ledger.
- Ensure compliance with VAS and tax regulations; work confidently with tax offices.
- Lead month-end/year-end closings and coordinate audits with external auditors.
- Support IFRS reporting and consolidation for the Singapore holding company.
- Build and manage a high-performing accounting team with tidy, sustainable workflows.
- Improve processes and systems; experiment with new tools to save time and reduce errors.
- Lay the foundation for FP&A by ensuring accounting outputs are structured and reliable for budgeting, forecasting, and KPI dashboards.
- Represent finance externally with banks, auditors, and investors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
- Chief Accountant Certificate (CAC) from the Ministry of Finance (mandatory for compliance).
- 7–12 years of accounting experience, including team supervision.
- Strong knowledge of VAS, taxation, and statutory compliance.
- Familiarity with IFRS and multi-entity consolidation; experience with Singaporean structures a plus.
- Strong English reading skills; writing and speaking are a plus.
- CPA, ACCA, or other international certifications are strong advantages.
